HOW IT WORKS
1. Meaning of the awards:
Awareness development towards systemic issues including climate
change, diseases, natural resource depletion, gender inequality has
promoted investment trends following ESG criteria or sustainable
investment in the region. Recognizing this importance, the
Government signed Decision No. 167/QD-TTg approving the
"Program to support private business sector in sustainable
development period 2022 - 2025".
The program aims to raise awareness of the private sector business
community on the role and importance of sustainable business. It is
also expected to foster and raise awareness of civil servants and
public employees in giving advice and supporting sustainable
business. They are scheduled to support about 10,000 businesses that
plans to develop sustainably.
2. Award purpose:
The award helps build data on sustainable development and
supports the Government and relevant social organizations to come
up with practical policies to support the sustainable development of
enterprises. It accompanies Vietnam in implementing the
commitment to the Target at COP26 on reducing net emissions to
"zero" by 2050 and contributing to activities responding to climate
change, especially in clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, smart
water management, and natural resources
